Stopped off at the rest area and climbed the hill to get a good view of this impressive engineering feat. Also stopped at the visitor centre down below on our way back up. Impressive.

I didn't realise the viaduct was on our route south but when I spotted it I knew immediately what it was. It's a fantastic feat of engineering and as we were lucky crossing on a fine day the views were certainly spectacular. I noticed an...More

Arrived here on a trip from Montpellier back to Denmark. We chose a detour of 210 Km and were not disappointed. In perfect weather we saw this example of perfect engineering, and the beautiful view from the visitor centre. Certainly worth a visit.

I have been interested in visiting this Viaduct since it was opened, I've also seen several tv shows explaining with maximum detail all the process of construction, I have to say nothing compares with the experience of stop in the rest area next to it...More

I don't know, we didn't see any helicopters around at all. I would be surprised if there was.

Barcelona to Millau by car (or minivan) is a 4 hour trip one way. Unless your group is totally into great engineering feats only I wonder if you would not like to extend your trip to include the (reconstructed) middle age... More
