A challenging trip by public transport, but a nice gallery to visit. I found it too hot to get on buses and too far to walk from the nearest metro station. Used a taxi to get back. The cafe was closed but found a nice...More

the museum hosts a private collection of modern art of 20 and 21 century artists. The building itself is a place worth visiting. From nearly every room of the building you have a view at the beautiful garden with large sculptures. We found the entrance...More

We started the day in Lille with a visit of this museum. Collections of modern & contemporary art are OK, but not outstanding. The plus comes from the collections of Art Brut: you can see what "people with disturbed minds" can realize

I went on my own midweek in October and was the only visitor until joined by one couple. The collections are certainly good enough to make a visit worthwhile, even though the Modiglianis and Van Dongens were on loan elsewhere. By way of compensation there...More

There's a reasonable selection of modern art including a couple of picasso's. I liked the sculptures outside but didn't enjoy the art brut section. Toilets were really good :-)

We’re not a big fan of modern arts but drove by Lille on our way to Bruges. It made a nice stop-over. There are about a dozen big sculptures outdoor, including a piece by Picasso. You can stroll around the nice area for free. Even...More

We came here with our children, 5 & 8. We was followed the whole time by security and made to feel extremely unwelcome. Maybe they could have a children's activity to do whilst going round or maybe they just don't embrace families. It is such...More
