Took the canal boat trip around Les Hortillonnages. Duration around 40 minutes. Very interesting floating gardens with a wide variety of plants and birds. Extremely peaceful and beautiful experience.

By taking a boat or just walking on the side of the river, this is a great activity that you will enjoy a lot! The beauty of the flowers and the small houses that you are going to see will leave a warm memory for the rest of your life.

These floating gardens were created unwittingly during Roman times when peat extraction between the Avre and Somme rivers created little fertile islands hard... More

Relaxing guided boat trip across the former vegetable fields Inside the town, now a relaxation area and very quiet place a few hundred meters away from the busy city center.

I took the boat trip around this collection of allotments, reachable only by flat-bottomed boat. It was utterly enchanting. Commentary totally in French, and a bit tricky to follow, but I just let it all sink in, and relaxed.
