The location of Calanques is actually can be easily accessible by bus in Marseilles. Just take bus 21 to the terminal station near Luminy and talk a 30 mins walk and you will see the gorgeous view of the blue sea and mountain. You can decide to take a walk to the observatory deck, climb up the mountain or go... More

The Calanques are amazing and they go from la Ciotat down towards Marseilles, you can also get boat tours out to them from La Ciotat and Cassis, bring good walking gear as they are quite rocky and hilly, and plenty of water in summer time as it gets very hot

despite it being winter, we visited this beautiful area to really be impressed by the beauty of it. Nice pathways where you can walk for hours and get to see different angles and sights. Well worth visiting while here.

If you have the energy for hiking this is your place. I normally do not sleep on a proper schedule when travelling but on the rare moment I do not work at night, I try and get up and outside early. This place was worth it. If you are in Provence this is a must see.

Whether you are on a short schedule and can only afford an hour to take a cruise ship to the Callanques, or have enough time to explore beautiful hiking trails, you can only be delighted by the Calanques, so far away from the reality of overbuilt, and overcrowded coastline of the French Riviera. However, because of the hign cliffs typical... More

We visited Calanques during our vacation in Provence. We were amazed by the beautiful waters and splendid views. Because we were too late to take a kayak tour, we went hiking. We discovered more beautiful spots and we also saved some money. We even saw the same Calanques that were listed on the kayak trip, therefore, we were very glad... More

We took the Calanques boat tour from Cassis (did the 8 calanques visit). The trip can be a bit treacherous for camera gear due to infrequent incoming waves but the beautiful views were absolutely worth it. Glad we had a spot in the back of the boat though, the people in the front got soaking wet and were eventually forced... More

Take the boat tour to see the Calanques and then look at which one you would like to see again and drive to the parking and hike in. Very astounding and impressive geography like the fjords but Mediterranean
