It's a very short bus ride from Geneva, bus F. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of Ferney-Voltaire market, lots of fresh (I assume locally produced) food.

During my 3 months stay in Geneva, Switzerland, visiting this market in France every Saturday was definitely a highlight of my week. I would highly recommend a visit to sample the delicious cheese, fruits, bread, and fresh pasta. Also if you like seafood a visit to the fishmonger in the back for fresh oysters and champagne is a must! The... More

This market has something for everyone: tablecloths, clothing, paella, Sicilian baby courgettes, home-made pasta,Brie cheese with truffles, an oysters and white wine bar, cut flowers, annuals, perennials, fresh sardines, fresh churros, exotic spices and dried fruits, pomegranate juice and more. It makes for a lovely Saturday morning excursion. Shop carefully and learn where the less expensive products are sold, though!

We took the F bus from Geneva to Ferney-Voltaire for the market. We took our time walking through to see all the amazing food, and then went back to choose what we wanted for our lunch. The prices are good; even outside of Geneva. We felt like they were similar to farmer's markets in the Washington, DC area. We had... More

A wonderfully vibrant, traditional Saturday market takes over the center of this busy little French border town. This popular weekly market offers shoppers an enormous range of vegetables, fruits, meats and poultry, wines, loose speciality teas, spices, fresh seafood from around the world. Here you can buy everything from the humble baking potato to organically grown fruits from North Africa.... More

The best way to sense the flavoring of local way of life is to visit a flea market. At Annecy is called Ferney-Voltaire Market. Vivid and original as nothing. Every Sunday.

The market of Ferney is a great place to look and buy. I recommend especially the fish place on the left side of the town hall when coming from the direction of the Voltaire monument. Be there early to avoid the crowds!

When we lived in Prevessin (neighbouring commune) I would love to come to the Ferney-Voltaire Market for fresh produce, several kinds of olives and a gyro sandwich for lunch! I've had keys made there and bought sewing notions and clothes as well. There are a lot of household items like lacey curtains and colourful tablecloths from Provence. We now live... More

The weekly Saturday morning market in Ferney-Voltaire is reputed to be the most expensive in France - largely because it is so close to Geneva that all the rich and over-paid people who live there have full wallets and purses. But it is a terrific place, with farmers bringing their cheeses and meats and hams and vegetables and bread from... More

This was my second trip to the market, my first visit being in September 2015. One of the reviews said it was open from 8-4 so I thought I was safe to arrive after 1pm. I took the F bus from Geneva Nations stop and arrived around 1:30 pm. Sadly all the stalls were packing up. I tried to buy... More
