Experience amazing sights, sounds, smells and delicious tastes as the past comes to life. Beamish is unique - our objects aren't locked away in glass cases, this is hands-on history! Step into the past and explore our 350 acre site, as Beamish tells the story of the people of North East England in the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s. Taste traditional food from a coal-fired range, hop on board a tram or steam train, play schoolyard games together and pop into the Co-op shops. Come back time and time again with your Beamish Unlimited Pass, which allows 12 months free entry to the museum from your visit - including all day time special events!

Brilliant day out for all the family, £19 each and the ticket lasts all year. Loads to see and do in lots of zoned areas around the museum grounds, the highlight being the 1900's street and trams.

The beamish Museum is brilliant. I went with my father, his partner, my boyfriend and my grandparents. My grandad is in a wheelchair and most things were wheelchair accessible. Unlike some attractions once you are in everything is really reasonably priced. And there is so...More

This museum is well set out and very organised. The staff are friendly, chatty, helpful and vary patient with our group. We were made to feel at ease.

Perfect for our 13 and 15 year olds. Lots to see and experience. Fab we could take our dog (not in buildings). A tad expensive but you get a years pass to revisit. We all loved it, would recommend guide book!

I would ring travel line north east and ask which buses you can travel on to Beamish. We travel on bus from Newcastle.
