A fantastic place to visit. The exhibits are so varied. From the school to the mine, from the farm to the town, from the railway to the fish and chip shop. The staff at each exhibit were really helpfull and had a good knowledge of their subject. You really need to allow at least five hours to go round the... More

What a fabulous day out, we were there from the minute it opened at 10am until it closed at 5pm and we could still have spent more time there! Our children are 6 and 4 and they loved it. The trams and buses were so frequent that we were never hanging around for too long. All the people working at... More

Came here whilst visiting the area with my Mum and her partner. The whole place was amazing from the various types of transport to the shops where people were dressed in Victorian dress, to the dab and chips cooked in dripping, the amazing buildings and beautiful park where we sat and enjoyed the weather. Amazing place and would highly recommend... More

Visited beamish many years ago and on a trip back to the north east with my friend I decided it would be a great time to visit once again. Beamish is still a little gem, perfectly looking back on history in a fun and exciting way. Perfect for all types of people and every age!

We regularly visit Beamish when the weather is good. We visit it for the 2nd time this year (Sunday 17th) and spent several hours there. As ever for lunch we had fish & chips, this time we queued for just over 20 minuets as they now have 3 coal fired ranges running which means that they can cook more food... More
