They do have a an extraordinary environment, and spoil it all. Relevant pieces of art, archaeological treasures piled up without any indication of artist, region, time. Not well maintained. They state on the folder that they don't want to 'clutter the place' as didactic concept....More

The museum consists of many modern buildings with an eclectic amount of art work from paintings to sculptures. The surrounding gardens are beautiful to get lost in and explore. The museum runs along the Erft river. There are various refreshments, such as local produce like...More

This is probably one of the most beautiful combinations of art, architecture and landscaping that I have ever seen. Wonderful park with pavillons full of sculptures, painting, archeological stuff etc. - make sure you see both parts !

Would you like to walk through the "wilderness" watching modern art (sculptures and paintings). Then you have to visit this place. Especially in spring and autumn it has an incredible breath and a perfect light.

Spacious with numerous buildings and modern, African and various other art forms. Few explanations with the art works so actually experiencing them becomes the flow. Food is included in the entry ticket which makes it a very fair price.

This is one of my favorites places to spend the Sunday in Dusseldorf. After a nice walk combining nature and art you can wrap-up your experience in the cafeteria they have in the belly bottom of the park. There you can profit from sitting in...More

The Museum Insel Hombroich is really not something that you can do in just a couple of hours. To make the most out of it, really plan for a full day. There's many buildings to see and also lots to look at outside. It's really...More

I've been to Insel Hombroich a few times now. It's a very nice place, quiet and a lot of nature. Love the architectural buildings! You can wander around there all day and enjoy the beautiful landscape, art and buildings. One thing that wasn't so great...More
