It's not really obvious what to put on your visit list, when it's an old historic town like Bamberg. Pop sights are usually not that impressive. However, this one should be visited. Take a minute to walk around the building on a hot day - it's an extremely refreshing experience in the most broad sense!

This structure is a must see if you are in Bamberg. We were visiting the city and I wanted to visit it to get photos with my family.

If you are a "people watcher," this is as good a place to sit as can be found. There are people sitting on the railings, leaning, strolling, relaxing and enjoying. On the lower bridge there is a statue of St. Kunegunde, patroness of Bamberg. She is entombed beside her husband, St. Heinrich, in the cathedral (The Dom). There are many... More

This is the same building that is listed under Bamberg Rathaus! It's definitely worth a visit. Look for the leg of the cherub coming out of the back side of the building!

A beautiful little building! Take a moment to stop and take in the amazing setting, cross the bridge and get yourself lost in this little gem town.

Situated just across the bridge. We stood to admire the wonderful architecture and the frescos. So impressive. Then we took photographs, trying to take a photo of the hall that had appeared as the front page of the free Bamberg city map. This place is indeed truly a world heritage site.

The Old Town Hall in Bamberg is quite a curiosity: The frescoes that adorn the facades are as amazing. Beautiful architecture!

This building is a highlight of a visit to the town - very striking with the 3D sculpture effect. It is a great welcome into the old town, and sets the atmosphere for the medieval German town. Sadly you cannot go in, but well worth a visit for the sight.

The Altes Rathaus stands like a sentinel guarding one of the main approaches to the old town. Beautifully painted walls.

Lovely building in unusual location- straddling the bridge over the river. Beautiful frescoes on either side well worth walking down to see
