Very good museum with 7 main exhibits, all for only 8€. Full of life size dioramas of medieval times in Celle and as the town evolves over the next few centuries. Very family friendly and accessible. Good overall history museum.

A little boring I am sad to say. It did have a great mediaeval house setting which was good. Needs much more work on foreign visitors getting the most from it. Enjoyed the miniatures though

I went to this place last year and I was amazed by how they put showed up the lives of the Germans in the past, and modern artwork in one place.

The museum is next to the St Mary church in the city center. When I came here, the museum was closed already. The architecture of the museum is very nice. Worth taking some photos.

While almost everything thing was closed on Mondays in Celle I appreciated very much the chance to see this museum. The historical collections are well explained, unfortunately my foreign colleague had to rely on my translation, as only very few explanations in English were given.

The Bomann Museum tells the story of Celle and of life in the surrounding Lüneburger Heath. There is a lot of military history in the place and the royal connections with England.

Bomann Museum is located directly opposite the Ducal Palace in Celle and is well worth a visit. There are amazing displays very realistically showing the sights, sounds, and smells of the living conditions of villagers in the Middle Ages in lower Saxony. I also enjoyed...More
