It is a nice uphill walk from the market square of Miltenberg. The views of river and town are spectacular and the castle itself is an interesting visit.

A very nice place to visit. Have a very comfortable access and free parking under the bridge side for 1 hour, where you can take photos and have a nice view of the Main river and the ferry. Upon crossing the street from the parking,...More

It is a fair climb to the castle, but worth it. Entry is just e3.00, but before your enter, enjoy the view over the town and beyond, just outside the entrance. Inside, take the chance to climb the keep if it is open. Although an...More

It is a fair way to the top but the views are worth it. The castle wasn't open the day we visited but really worth going up and taking some fabulous pictures of the Old Town below. We walked down a different route and found...More

The walk to the castle is fun and not too strenuous. The views are worth the trek. I would also recommend a walk through the town which has some very well preserved and rennovated architextural gems.

A tour of this castle was part of our river cruise. The day we visited, it was raining, which made the climb up to the castle and negotiating some of the stone paths in the castle difficult. This is probably not a good place to...More

What a lovely castle and so different to many we have seen. Make the effort to walk up the lovely cobblestone street so you can get a nice view of the area - well worth the time.

I didn't enter the castle, however the lovely walk from the town up to the castle (short walk but is uphill and steep in parts) through the bush made it enjoyable. Once reaching the castle (and there are numerous paths to walk up from the...More

Interesting little town. It is a steep walk up to the castle and it is mostly over cobblestones but the view from the top made it worthwhile. There is also a gallery of paintings which are also interesting.
