We visited this castle in July 2017. We went there using the little train from the HKK hotel departure point. I loved the train journey and loved being able to see the changing view as we went. The train guide did not speak English so...More

I didn't go into the museum as it was too early. Atmosphere is great in the morning as is the view onto the town and mountains.

We had the whole area pretty much to ourselves. Really great Castle, boys will find the defence network fascinating. Girls will like the romance and the frogs in the pond :P

I arrived rather late so was unable to venture inside but frankly not sure that I would have bothered even if able. It just did not seem to offer anything and is not really old. We used the town tourist train to access.
