En route for Heidelberg we stopped off in Schwetzingen which boasts a castle and gardens. The gardens outdo the castle by a mile, well worth the €6 entry fee. Planted formally in the French style they require a big staff just to maintain, but we...More

We happened to visit after 5.30pm and found that the entry fee was reduced, only 3 euros each to enter. The grounds are extremely well maintained and are colourful and the smell is fab. The grounds are pretty extensive and would take quite awhile to...More

Excellent location, especially for the gardens. Suggestion is to use a soft pair of shoes and enjoy a guided visit of the construction . Well maintained and clean. Suggested!

This was one of my highlights to visit the castle and gardens. The gardens is a mini - Versailles and I could spend many more hours in and around the castle and gardens. A must see and do!
