This zoo is fantastic. Very local oriented with a lot of farming things and their animals to see. More than 200 animals from arround the world. Large playground for kids. Nice restaurants and other places to rest. More than 400.000 visitors per year for a city with 50.000 citizens. A great place to go!!!

We went there for a day as we were curious as to which sort of animals were there. The variety of animals was not great, but the Tierpark was a very pleasant place to spend a day. There were quite a few public benches along the way and the people there seemed to be very friendly and kind and opened... More

We thought it would be fun to visit a zoo in Germany. It surpassed our expectations. I took my two children, 10 and 13 , and their view was, why do we need to go there.?Because you have not been here before was my response. All looked pretty ordinary until we reached the Gophers and you could go in to... More

I cannot praise this place enough. There is so much to see and do. Children find so much to interest them, and I am not just talking about the marvellous variety of animals, birds etc. It's and adventure park in itself. The whole site is beautifully maintained. Plenty of interesting information, great places to eat. Picnic areas too. Very highly... More

This is a fantastic animal park near the Dutch and German border. Cost was only 8.50 euros for adults and children under 4 are free also. They have been expanding the park over the years and have a good number of animals. It is great for kids, as they can get up close to many of them, and has a... More

Nice small animal park where intercontinental animals are also available to watch. They have a cute bird spot where you can sit while colorfull birds are flying around you. Good spot to hang out for a day and verry kids friendly. They have a big playground where you can hang out while the kids can play with many variable playground... More

While is isn't a large zoo, it was fun for our two year old. He enjoyed seeing the animals. As an adult, and someone who knows only a bit of Dutch, and no German, it was okay. The zoo we have in Indianapolis has much more. Signs at the zoo are in German and Dutch due to the proximity of... More
