A nice German town with pretty landmarks

Worms has a nice town center with statues and gardens. You won't stay long but its a nice detour on your way to a bigger destination.

A beautiful old city reconstructed after WW2. It still has many old buildings worth to visit, like the Saint Peter Cathedral, the Old Synagogue, which is considered the oldest in Europe. Nice old wall, and lovely legends of dragons and Nibelungs!

I really enjoyed my day spend in Worms. It's an interesting town with lots of history and a great deal of surviving Romanesque architecture. The cathedral ofcourse, but also multiple other Romanesque churches. You can quite easily walk around the town in one day to see most of the sights. In August (and September I presume) you can't really walk... More

Our family enjoyed this beautiful city and often walked around. We lived in a nearby village, and I worked in the Military Kaserne that was located here. Our favorite times were the fall and spring of the year. We will always have wonderful memories of this city and its people.

We were in town because our River cruise ship was stranded because of high waters and we didn't feel like going on a 1 1/2 hour bus ride for the next tour. Worms is a nice place to walk around as are many older Europe type communities. Just seeing the older buildings is enough to keep you interested and you... More

As a whole, Worms is a great day trip, easily accessible from the Kaiserslautern area. Situated between the river and vineyards, there are plenty of sights to see, good food, rich history, and great art.

I highly recommend visiting Worms because of its history. Because the town is so compact, it is easy to navigate and there are many spots to sit and enjoy the sites.

Most of historic centre was bombed in the second world war and destroyed. However, if you pick up info from tourist office, there are many areas worth visiting in reasonably easy walking distance.

The historic district is a relatively small area and not worth making a detour. However, if you are in Worms, and interested in history then by all means take the tour of this part of the city
