this was my first late trip to Villars having been 3 times before in jan and feb. the snow was only just enough for the resort to remain open but most runs above Bretaye mid-station were skiable. this meant doing the same higher runs many times. it was worse on the Gryon side and similar in les diablarets. on the... This ski resort is always a delight to go to. There is often sufficient amounts of snow with not too many people. The pricing in the shops is a little high. The transportation around he resort is easy and efficient. The restaurants are welcoming with delicious foods. The only problem is they get a little overcrowded around 1:00pm-2:00.

Picturesque ski runs, with a good selection for all levels. Easy and fast connection to Diablerets area, and to the glacier.

Villars has been providing skiing to the well-heeled for about 150 years now. The skiing ranges from moderate blues to some tricky reds and much in-between. Hard core off-pisters will find it a bit tame. There is a delightful train from the village up to Bretaye - the main centre. This can get very crowded indeed in season and you'd... More

Very good facilities and plenty of support shops - hire, lessons, food etc. If self catering then I recommend shopping at the bottom of the mountain as the range and quality of food available in and around Villars is a little disappointing. The area is extremely picturesque especially when the sun shines! Hundreds of photo opportunities on the slopes and... More

I grew up in Villars and have been skiing here ever since I was 11, I loved skiing here so much that I joined the ski team at my school. I loved it. The snow conditions can vary every day so always make sure you have a neck scarf on. There are also some really nice places to stop and... More

This location was a very good first experience into skiing. The nursery slope (which can be crowded with lots children) make for an easy introduction, with some progressive slopes once the skills improve. Given the lack of actual snow, the operators and their snow machines were doing a good job of providing sufficient cover to keep it interesting, even if... More

Excellent slops and facilities, and early in the season there were not a lot of people. Nice that skiing is free for kids
