This botanical garden is small, but so is the old city of Visby. It is, however, a beautiful, peaceful place--well suited to quiet contemplation. The surrounding old city only adds to its appeal. Additionally, it is a wonderful place to take your heart's love to enjoy with you.

Even in April, early in the season it's really nice to take a walk and enjoy the first blossoms. Public garden. You cannot miss it. Walking through Visby you run into it anyway. For lovers of botanic gardens a must.

This botanical garden is small but well laid out and well located. Just within the city ancient wall overlooking the sea, the garden is well stocked and peaceful to spend a few hours roaming around. It is free to enter and you can leave a donation in cash or via cell phone.

No big surprises from a botanical perspective, but this garden--which gives the impression of being not that old--is laid out beautifully and is a lovely spot to stroll or sit and read.

I visited the DBW botanical garden this spring for photographing flowers and birds. This garden is free, and you can open the door by yourself. The garden include an old ruin. For the first time I saw blue flower of Rhododendron in this garden. I could get photographs of Rhododendron Blue Tit (Lapponicum-Alpros), Caltha palustris (Kabbleka), Carduelis chloris (Greenfinch), Carduelis... More

I try to visit all Botanical Gardens when I come across them and this one is a favourite, non-regarding time of year.

Still end of September and still a lot of beautiful flowers and plants. A place to relax and calm down.

Small but beautiful this is a charming place to while a way a couple of hours. Very peaceful & easily combined with a walk around the city walls or the many other places of interest.
