About
Honeymoon Bay is a great picnic and snorkelling spot on Beecroft Peninsula. The Beecroft Peninsula is Navy land and is only open to the public on weekends and public holidays. You can get a bite to eat or stay the night in the nearby town of Currarong, or camp at the bay its self.

Very disappointed, nothing special about this beach/bay. Much nicer beaches around that are much easier and more accessible to get to.

A great camping or day trip option. Nice calm bay for swimming. Make sure you check opening times on the website before you leave home.

We were really looking forward to spending a day at Honeymoon Bay. However, to our disappointment, the entry route was closed on the week we were visiting, due to the Beecroft Weapons Range. Frustratingly, there was no prior signage about this until we got to Lighthouse Road. Make sure to check the Weapons Range operating times online before you visit! We ended up at Callala beach instead for the day, which is a great little back up option.

Such a beautiful and picturesque bay. Such a sweet name too. It's very family friendly - great spot for children to play in the water and explore on the rocks. There were people snorkelling and also if you make your way out further you can see rock fisherman and crashing waves. Lovely to take photos and spend a relaxing afternoon here.

Honeymoon bay is stunning. Crystal clear water to see the amazing sea life. It was safe and sheltered for the kids and had a lot of shade. The only downside was there were way too many people here. I will come out of school holidays next time.

You walk down this path, which is perfectly framed by trees, to see this little bay, with ultra-clear blue water. the shape is almost completely circular. The water is so calm. Can this be real?
Yes, and it is completely natural, believe it or not.

We did a boat tour with Jervis Bay Wild and they pointed out this beautiful spot, so decided to go back and check it out. We went midweek, we were lucky that it was open, and we had the whole bay to ourselves! It was perfect for the toddler to play in the shallows and there were little fish swimming all around. The beach was shady so we had an escape from the sun and we saw some kangaroos on the way out. Would definitely go back!

Quiet and pretty place to camp. Not open every day. Long dirt track in, but well worth it, even if you are just fishing.

they have portable toilets. no running water, showers, or power. the campsite is only open on weekends (friday to sunday) or on school holiday. no online booking. must pay cash at the ranger station first come first serve basis.
Just wondering if there are showers at the campsite.

carvans can make it here, but there is no running water or power. the road has a ton of ripples so drive slow. there is day parking or campsites, but either way you will be stopped at the gate before entering to pay a fee. its cash only. camping is only weekends or school holidays

Is Honeymoon Bay dog-friendly or is it in National Park?

It's not National Park but is owned by the Australian Defence Force who run it very similarly to National Parks. Jervis Bay itself is a Marine Park. We did not see any dogs in the camp ground or on the beach at all. The Visit NSW website says no pets are allowed.
Is it possible to launch a tinny from there

Yes there is a boat ramp but it is heavily damaged however you can drive on the sand. Tinny is easy to launch but not big boats.
