100/100 Experience! We had nothing shy of an outstanding experience!
My S/O and I loved this experience! It was a tiny bit more expensive than we anticipated, however, after the intimate dining experience, the one-on-one experience, and the outstanding staff that was kind enough to share with us a ton of information about the beautiful island, and then of course eating the dinner there in a special dining space, it was the most amazing experience. I highly recommend the dinner cooking class here! The space is gorgeous! I would have loved to have done the elephant experience there too! Next time! :)

Fantastic experience and a must visit
This was an AMAZING day out. We got to meet the two elephants up close and personal. The owners and workers were very friendly and knowledgable and they are doing great things here to look after these beautiful animals. You get to wash and feed the elephants which is a great experience. I would 100% recommend for anyone wanting something to do on the island.

What a fantastic experience, totally recommend doing this and feeding and washing the elephants, can't rate highly enough and the guides were superb. Washing with mud and then a water fight while cleaning the elephants. Please do this trip

An unforgettable experience with happy elephants!
We had an amazing time in this elephant sanctuary. Unlike mass tourism, here we really enjoyed a unique and authentic experience. The elephants are pampered and well treated, which has reassured us a lot. We shared magical moments with the elephants and their mahout, who explained their behavior and care. Our little boy of 2 loved it! He was able to interact with these beautiful animals in a peaceful and respectful setting. Many thanks to our guide for his passion and knowledge. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience something special and responsible. A memorable adventure we will never forget!

Our visit to Koh Yao Elephant Care was truly memorable. The sanctuary's dedication to their single resident elephant was moving and commendable. The opportunity to help prepare food for the elephant provided a uniquely personal connection that we'll forever cherish. The staff, warm and knowledgeable, were keen to share their insights about this majestic creature and its care. Nestled in the tranquil landscape of Koh Yao Yai, the sanctuary offers a much-needed escape from bustling tourist spots. This visit is more than just a tour; it's a powerful lesson in conservation and empathy. We wholeheartedly recommend Koh Yao Elephant Care for a truly unforgettable and deeply touching experience.

We had the most incredible experience on this trip, a great tour of the Island with a fantastic guide who was really informative. The highlight was the amazing experience we had with our Elephant, she was absolutely beautiful and happy, we have never had the hands on experience of feeding, mud bathing and washing a Elephant before, it was absolutely awesome and very beautiful and one of the best experiences we have ever had. The Elephants are so well cared for, happy and free to roam and live out their retirement here ,in the evening they leave the camp and roam free in acres of forest. We had a Thai cooking class and I really wanted to make pad Thai as well ,which they happily went and got the ingredients for as well. We can't recommend this place enough if you are ever on Koh yao yai then this must be at the top of the your list, they only do 2 visits in the morning and 2 in the afternoon . All the staff were incredible, very informative and we're extremely passionate about taking care of the Elephants.

The program was fantastic, we fed and walked with the elephants around the small park, then got in the middle of the mud bath and rubbed mud into her skin and she smiled cheekily! Then we gave her a shower with hoses and she seemed really happy, finally a scrub with brushes in her pond! The guide was very nice and had lots of info. Definetly recommend as a good way to spend a few hours

Definitely a ”must do” activity when you are on the island! Not only you will be able to spend times with the elephants but you will help them by funding their sanctuary. The elephants eat between 250 and 400kg of food everyday, and the island is not that touristic yet, so any visitor makes a big difference!
My wife has always wanted to visit a sanctuary but many aren’t really 100% ones. But this one is the real deal. They have been able to rescue 2 “ladies” a 52 and 68 year old one, who used to work in the forest to carry woods, and both were really skinny for their ages. Wansana was 2.5 t when she arrived 8 months ago, now she is 4t!♥️
You will be able to feed them with bananas, sugarcanes, coconut… (don t worry, as indicated they eat between 250 and 400kg of food per day, so what you will give them is still a little fraction of their day), to have them taking a mud bath, then a proper spa, a good shower.
The elephants are taken into the forest to rest, or to the beach…
They are well taken care, so go there and support them! 🐘♥️👍🏻

We were here today. First, eight of us gave two elephants a shower. Then six of us walked about 300 meters with one elephant. There we rounded it up with mud and bathed it. The whole thing took about an hour. Then we were given food. When we were done, we walked down on our own to see the elephants. There they were tied up by the feet and couldn't move a meter. A terrible sight!! We would never do that again and wouldn't recommend it.

You get to feed the elephant, then wash the elephant, then scrub it!

It’s fantastic and Arsid is so passionate about Elephant Conservation. I cannot recommend more.

Make sure you bring a spare set of clothes because you will get soaked when washing the elephant!

It was an incredible experience. The rescued elephants are now happy. The mahous explained to us the whole life of elephants, their differences with those of other countries, and how they take care of them. We then fed them and washed them with water after they got into the mud.
We are happy to have been able to participate in bringing to life a sanctuary like this, small, family-run, and which really takes care of its elephants.

A unique experience. The two of us were able to get to know the elephant, feed it, bathe it in the mud with it, wash it and then go to the waterhole together again. The guides take great photos and videos and take all the time for us and the elephant.

Got pocked up in town as part of the package arrived there in 20 mins really great place the people there helpful and friendly and you can see the elephant is well looked after.
We fed the elephant followed by a mud bath then washed and showered the elephant so no riding and whole area is nice and not to big.
Really good value for money

Unlike other elephant excursions where you can ride the elephant, this is an elephant sanctuary! After visiting Phuket and seeing how these majestic animals are used for profit, I was very disappointed! However, after reading on the purpose of this sanctuary, I felt that we had to do it!! My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion! You can truly see how passionate they are and how much they care for the elephant! If you plan on doing an elephant excursion, I really do hope you choose this one! The profits go right back to the care of the elephants (they only had one when we went, but she has been there over 20 years)
