Windy wet day went for a look

Went here after a local told me to check it out. Cost 2000kr. Which I thought was a little expensive for what it was. The lady working there was very helpful and told me places I... read more

This place is a 10 year old boy place. Very tacky and cheesy. The narration was semi interesting but the displays were worn out and dumb. Not worth the cost or time

There are lots of things to do when visiting other countries, but I've never been to a cultural experience like this before. Getting to here about ghost stories and cultural superstitions was interesting. The Ghost Center is setup like a haunted house that you can walk through at your own pace. My teenagers weren't at all scared, but they did... More

Went here after a local told me to check it out. Cost 2000kr. Which I thought was a little expensive for what it was. The lady working there was very helpful and told me places I should visit as it was such a bad day outside. I was the only person there, it was quite and a little annoying to... More

I went with my family to the small coastal town Stokkseyri. Having a stroll through both Stokkseyri and Icelands first capital, Eyrarbakki, gives you the sense the old days in Iceland. Many houses are old and make the atmosphere quite decent. The Ghost Center is in a building by the old harbor and has a nice ocean view. The Ghost... More

Several visitors met during our Icelandic tours had mentioned this museum as something not to be missed, so when we arrived at Sokkseyri we decided that we could spend our only afternoon in this town at the Ghost Center. Well, it was not bad, but nothing special. I mean, the idea might be good but, for the very expensive price... More

She liked the elves and northern lights better, but talked f-a-r more about the scary ghost stories and paintings. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and there is a bar at the end of the tour... followed by an impressive ocean view and lovely pier!

In the museum you can find out about most famous icelandic ghosts stories, some of the ghosts are heard to be visiting the area even till today... This haunted house can really give you the idea why many Icelandic people still believe in them ;) just don't get too scared!

I visit the Ghost Centre yesterday with my teenage boy and we both loved it. The stories told via audio guide were well chosen, of very good quality, fantastic speaker and background sound. Someone gets into the story by sitting down or walking around while listening. The different stories get visual through the scenery on display. Even though we knew... More

..Then it's a MUST to visit. :) HAHAHAHA it was funny and exciting. My teenage daughter and I totally enjoyed it though we let our hearts beat faster there. My teenage boy just ran away. :) A very friendly receptionist told us that a lot of men escape immediately as they come in, but women are much braver to make... More
