I had read about this Temple with much interest, but the visit was unbelievable. After a leap of faith and a few minutes being surrounded by rats, it was quite "liberating".

This temple is situated almost 40 kms from Bikaner. It is one of the most peculiar temple of the world. Karni Mata temple is popular for the rats. You can find thousands of rats inside the temple running here and there without any fear and easting Prasad ( offering to goddess). Those who are scred of rats shoudla void this... More

Its a 7th wonder of world, peoples have som much of faith in this temple, there are thousands of rats inside the temple and not even a single rat comes out from the temple. Today from so many years not even single case of plague is found in the temple.

There are rats everywhere- on the floor, parapets, hanging on the door, scurrying around- one has to be a bit brave to walk without freaking out! The temple itself has some pretty marble and silver work on the front, but they seem to be building a tall multi-storied structure on top of the existing temple, which IMO will interfere with... Very unique site with rats running all over temple.Don't be put off by long lines for entry. Push and jostle along the local crowd. Ignore the touts, ignore the cheats bypassing queue. The pics and videos you take of the rats will be seen in your family for many generations to come.

This was definitely different. I wandered around this temple barefoot with all these rats running around! Apparently the rats are revered and fed with sweets and milk in the belief they're reincarnated saints. To be honest it's not like there's a massive swarm of them and it's unlikely they'd run over your feet, but you can get close to them... More

The temple is exquisite with the main attraction being the rats scurrying about in the temple with people even feeding them prasad. Nowhere in the world can you get this kind of an experience. Temple itself is pretty and of course the religious sentiment and the story behind karni Mata is something worth listening to.

Quite a unique experience looking at rats running and bouncing around you. Scared for the first few minutes but got comfortable later. They don't harm you at all ;)

A fascinating place that is revered by many. I can imagine some tourists being put off having so many rats running around. The black rats are very numerous, though we were lucky enough to spot a white rat. Removing your shoes is a must and if we had had a couple of pairs of old socks, we would have considered... More
