OK its a group of rocks in the middle of nowhere. It's no stonehenge.
However, what it lacks in majesty, it makes up for in terms of seclusion and the view.
We took our camping chairs at sunset and can honestly say I have rarely experienced such serenity and beauty.

Went the week of storm Dennis. The chamber was a great inclement day find. We were lucky with the weather and had superb views of the surrounding valley which made for great photos.
A sat nav find as otherwise not obvious.

We saw this place on a map at Castell Henllys and set off in search. Follow the signs to the burial chamber and park in the short 'lay-by' area.
It was an excellent find as we had never heard of it before, nor even seen pictures of it.
The thought that it was constructed, so long ago, with such accuracy, is simply mind-blowing.

This burial chamber is a stunning piece of history. What is even better is the efforts made to make this accessible for people like myself who now have limited mobility. It's a short, fairly level and easy walk from the parking area on the lane. I loved my visit and the opportunity to touch ancient history - so many sites are now inaccessible for me and I appreciated the effort made to make this place easy for almost everyone to get to.

We drove in from South Wales, and the scenic view was amazing! We went to visit the chamber in the later part of the afternoon, so it was very quiet (we heard it can be quite busy). No other visitors were there, and that made our short stay more enjoyable.
Parking for several cars available at the nearby layby. It's a short walk to the burial chamber, which has stunning views of the surrounding hillsides. You can walk right up to the chamber and even touch the stones.
The area is very well kept. Definitely a must see.

Beautiful, well maintained historic site an easy 100m walk from the road layby, with stunning views across the fields to the coast, across grazing livestock and cultivated fields. Good information panels at the site which bring the Henge to life. Following the SatNav may try and take you across a Ford - when you get close, look for the Brown signs. The layby probably only takes about 5 cars comfortably.

Free little piece of history for a 15 minute stop, admire the history & mystique, take a few shots and move on. Not worth a big drive unless this is a topic you are passionate about. Small layby is only parking (~4 cars). A short walk of 100 yards but no other facilities. A fairly narrow lane gets you to here. Worth pairing with the IRon village which is not far away at all. Sunny day get some lovey views.

Pentre Ifan is a lovely heritage site just a short drive from Newport, Pembrokeshire. It is easily located from the main road between Fishguard and Cardigan if you follow the signposts. There are a few spaces available at a pull in, and the site is accessible via a fairly flat path. Scenery is stunning here with views over the Welsh countryside.

Well worth a visit with stunning views all around. Good information boards on this historic burial site. Unbelievable how they managed to construct it 1000s of years ago. Visited previously in 1965 , nothing changed since!
