We booked our visit via e-mail and received our confirmation and directions via e-mail very promptly. Be advised that the directions to the place may appear difficult to follow but the place is far easier to find. The drive is steep in places and you are encouraged to carpool because of limited parking. This is a private residence turned tourist... More

We managed to spend four hours here and were totally fascinated about the humming birds. Theo has a very interesting and engaging way of imparting information. His wife Gloria is a great cook and our experience was enhanced by the beautiful gardens. Definitely worth putting kn your itinerary.

Who would think that the little hummingbird is so amazing! Yerette's tour and photography show is astounding! The knowledge gained in that time was just priceless! I felt so proud to be a Trinbagonian knowing there are so many species of hummingbirds and all so absolutely fascinating. This tour is a MUST for any visitor...bird lover or not.....it's just beautiful!!!

The garden is truly stunning and the owner's appreciation for this wildlife is charming. This hummingbird sanctuary is the best in the country and definitely beats out Asa Wright. The one downside to this garden is that the owner only allows people access if they book an appointment. And with this appointment, he gives you a very up front presentation... More

Hummingbirds rule the roost here with more feeders attracting more birds than you can imagine! They put on an excellent presentation to introduce you to the various species. Loved it!

Taken by friends who have visited before. It was a fabulous day, The talk is informative and interesting and lots of opportunities to see many species of hummingbirds close up. There is a light lunch and a video show of photographs taken by the host. A fantastic day out and one I will never forget

We visited Dr Theo and his wife Gloria at their most stunning and wonderful hummingbird retreat in Maracas Valley. When planning your visit toTrinidad then this is one of the most important "things to do " while you are here. The visit is by invitation only [ very easy, just go on line and Dr Theo will advise you date... More

Although there are a lot of hummingbirds the area is only about as big as the balcony in Asa Wright. Where there are also just as much birds. As well as different animals and the forests to walk through. It would be ok if the cost wasn't so high. The food served wasn't great nor was it enough for my... More

Such beautiful and colorful birds, to be able to be amongst them and learn so much about them left us speechless. Great hosting and very professional handling.

The setting was beautiful and the birds were plentiful, but there was a powerpoint and a long lecture with very little time left to view or take pictures of the birds.
