Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

Windsurfing & kitesurfing lessons

The coaches were very helpful. My sons (ages 7 & 12) had windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons. They were very friendly and patient with them.

We stayed at the Nonsuch Bay resort early Feb for 12 nights and my husband used the kitesurfing centre when it was windy. All the staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and professional. Safety was never an issue even though you kite away from the resort. In fact where the kiting takes place is stunning. He highly recommends this place for... More

My husband & two teen daughters took a 4 hour class & spoke highly of the experience. Sounds like a lot of lines to keep track of & we are sailors!

My husband had a blast and liked the instructors! He said the view was lovely from where they took him out to practice. He had already kite surfed many times and said he felt conditions where more suited for someone who already had at least a basic knowledge

This is a fantastic place to kitesurf. The combination of flat water and good wind make it a great place for all. I have been riding for a few years but I took my ten year old son for lessons and he is hooked! The instruction was awesome (thanks Jake!) and the whole commitment to safety that 40knots institutes on... More

A big thank you to Susie, Nadine, Max and the team at 40 Knots for providing the perfect kite surfing nursery and a particular thank you to Ivan for his limitless patience and encouragement. There are learners and slow learners! Thank you and I'll be back as I believe the saying goes! Neal

I went to 40 Knots school to try out kitesurfing and really loved it. The location on green island is excellent, easily one of the most beautiful places in Antigua and with fantastic wind and space to learn. I had a few different instructors due to booking random lessons around other sightseeing trips with my partner but all the instructors... More

On top of being right at the resort, 40knots brings the kiting experience to a new level. The entire group is friendly and ready to make your time in Antigua a good one. They motor out to the private island, called Green Island. From there, there are 40knot team members ready to assist with setting up your kite and launching... More
