The shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna picturesquely situated on a flat top of Nallamalai Hills, Srisailam is reputed to be one of the most ancient kshetras in India. It is on the right side of the River Krishna in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. This celebrated mountain is also named as Siridhan, Srigiri, Sirigiri, Sriparvatha and Srinagam. It has been a popular centre of Saivite pilgrimage for centuries.

The prominence of this Divya Kshetram is highlighted by the fact that while performing our daily household rituals we specify place of location of our existence with reference to Srisailam

We were a group of five visiting the temple just three days before the big event- Shivaratri. People were pouring in. Facilities are good at the temple. There are separate entrances to the shrine for Senior Citizens and physically handicapped persons. We could have good darshan and sparsha seva. The arrangements made by the Temple authorities are good. We stayed... More

A must do for every hindu. Darshan and pooja of one of the 12 jyotirlingas is always very divine experience. There are different queues - normal, 100Rs and 500Rs. Normal queue takes around 1 hour in evening. We were lucky to be allowed in Garbhgruh for Ling Darshan. They were allowing everybody on that day ! Did an Abhishekam pooja... More

Throughout the day darshan of Jyotirlinga can be taken from a distance of 10-15 feet away from the Jyotirlinga. But in the morning from 5.30 am to 6.30 am devotees are allowed to enter into 'garbha griha' and can touch Jyotirlinga.

Visited this holy place with my wife and young son. Beautifully located. we did not find enough crowd. Food is not good better carry own food. This temple has got good arrangement for darshan. If you don't want to darshan with people together you can buy tickets for special darshan in which you don't need to stand in queues.

Always crowded temple because it is the family deity for many. everyday thousands of people visit. restaurants around are - horrible, unclean. Be prepared to wait in a long queue or best is to buy Abishekam tickets [Rs 1500] if you can afford to and can have a good darshan [ about 150 - 200 people together] a decent wait... More

After 150km the forest drive start which is fantastic. Be careful of speed breaker and villagers who put there harvest on road, its irritating as your car is full of noise. Good accommodation available there,... More
