I stopped in here for coffee but decided to have lunch. I had the pot pie which on the day was steak and vegetable. It came in a earthen ware pot with a puff pastry top. The was lots of steak and the gravy was very good. I watched other meals come out and next time I will have the... More

We stop in this spectacular verdant valley for lunch before walking to St. Columba falls. Great burgers, coffee and icecreams. There are some very unusual flavours for the icecreams so something should appeal to every taste. If you like strong cheeses I can recommend the vintage cheddar. The surprise entertainment was watching the dairy cows queuing up for an automatic... More

Really like this cafe, so much so that we stopped thrice in two days: for lunch on our way from Launceston to St Helens, for morning tea on our way to St Columba Waterfall and then again for lunch on our way back to Launceston. Really nice food, and a good spot to stop with younger kids who can either... More

Visited here on our wee loop to Columbus falls. Ordered coffees and whilst this was coming popped over to the cheese tasting tour. Mostly cheddars although the vintage ones were quite spectacular. Of course had to stock up on a few varieties for later wine tastings in the hotels.Nice part of the country, very green lots of cows, reminded us... More

With a name like Holy Cow Cafe I couldn't help but stop! It was a wet, windy, miserable day but once we stepped in, the fire was on, the food smelled great, the place is clean and homely. The staff happy, chatty and friendly. We had the homemade pumpkin soup - yum! Then we tasted some cheese and couldn't help... More

Great shop with some cheese tasting and a wide range of souvenirs. The large cafe served up a delicious devonshire tea and I had a gluten free orange cake very yummy. An interesting retreat from the wet weather and good facilities for young kids

Called in for the famous cheese tasting. Cheese OK, but nothing special. Unlike the ice cream; which is spectacular ! Good coffee too. And nice atmosphere.

My mum, 3 year old daughter and myself stopped off here whilst driving the east coast of Tassie. As we drove along the little dirt road to the store, we saw the beautiful cows in the pasture right along the fence line and new that we would be in for a treat with 'paddock to plate' treats! It was a... More

Stopped at the cafe for pitstop along a long drive. Cafe served good food. The cheesecake was good. Milkshake was diluted and not nice. Ice cream was good.
