Just had a presentation, guided tour and wine tasting session at Kerry Vale Vineyard, led by Nadine, one of the family owners. Gold star to Nadine for opening up the mysteries of vine growing, wine production and wine tasting in a fun, highly informative, clear and interactive way with us all. Very natural style and no sense of following a script, as some tours do. Also, Nadine spoke very clearly, which for us older people is very important! Helped by a beautiful, early summer's day.
We now feel as if we know more about what to look for in a wine - A Kerry Vale Vineyard one! Delicious.
Thank you, Nadine

We went for Lunch with a friend who recommended it. Really lovely location over looking the Vinyard. Great reasonably priced food and service- plus opportunity to sample and buy their own wines. Choice of inside or outside eating plus good sized Car Park. Can really recommend.

Had a wonderful cream tea here today for my 50th birthday . What a wonderful place!! The staff were so friendly especially when I forgot that my bestie doesn’t have butter or cream and they had asked me in advance if they were any allergies etc!! Totally my fault but they were amazing and made her some separate sandwiches and an extra scone!
The food was absolutely gorgeous and I will be back. Hopefully when it’s not raining as much as today so we could enjoy the vineyard more.
Well worth the visit.
Made my birthday truly memorable! Thank you x

Three of us stopped here for lunch and it was really enjoyable.

The sparkling wine was very enjoyable and chilled to perfection.

My pulled pork in a toasted brioche was delicious and two of us shared a fruit scone after that.

The coffee was very good.

Fantastic wine tasting experience with cheese and biscuits afterwards. Really enjoyed it. Great explanation of how the vines are grown and looked after. Nice walk around the vineyard. Lovely wine tasting after, and the cheese and biscuits platter was full of delicious treats. Well worth every penny and would be a lovely gift for someone.

Had a great wine tour followed by wine tasting. Very informative and engaging talk. Learnt a lot about how to grow grapes. The cheese platter we ordered was delicious and helped soak up all the wine we tasted, which was also very nice.... So much so we bought a bottle of Offa's Shadow on our way out! Cheers 🍷

We have eaten many times at the Kerry Vale Vineyard and enjoyed lunches and their amazing afternoon teas for various birthday celebrations over the past few years but todays visit was extremely disappointing. My friend had booked a table for lunch but when we arrived, they seated us at a low coffee table with four large (albeit comfortable) chairs which would have made eating lunch extremely difficult having to learn far forward to eat and one member of the party not even having a full place setting available in front of her. We asked the server if we could be moved, suggesting that maybe we could have two single tables at the back of the restaurant moved together for the three of us. The server went off to ask someone and eventually came back to say “no, we can’t move tables” with no explanation as to why this was not an available option. We did question this and got the same response “no”. We chose to leave the restaurant rather than being uncomfortable eating - the only other option offered was to wait half an hour and they would open the upstairs seating area.
I am still miffed that two tables couldn’t be moved together and that we experienced such poor customer service from a place that we’ve enjoyed in the past.

Although the setting is pleasant, the food is very disappointing. I paid £12 for a cheese plater which was poor. The garnish was lettuce that was slightly brown, a few miniscule bits of cherry tomato and pepper and celery that definitely wasn't fresh. There was 4 crackers which pretty ordinary and there were 3 cheeses included, one which tasted absolutely horrible. The bitter aftertaste was extremely unpleasant. Tiny silverskin pickles that were with it were cheap and nasty. I've never seen a cheese platter with these type of pickles, as normally you have proper crunchy pickles which don't cost the earth. I know times are difficult at the moment but surely it you're charging this kind of price, you expect better.
When my friend asked what type of cheese the bitter one was the waitress didn't know. The woman came out of the kitchen and was very condescending and rude saying weren't you told what type of cheese it was, and that it wasn't off, that was how it was meant to be as it was made with hops. Customer service didn't exist here at all.
I did used to like this place, but I'm not sure what has happened to but it's definitely not somewhere I will go again as the food is overpriced, isn't up to scratch and the customer service is poor.

We experienced the vineyard tour with wine tasting and afternoon tea package.
Totally blown away by the whole package! Very well organised and all the staff are very attentive and friendly.
The owner gave us a great overview of the vineyard and the grape variety’s grown, before taking us for a tour around the vineyard. On returning back to the function room (above the on-site coffee shop) the wine tasting began. We tried 4 wines which were all very good, whilst the owner talked us through each wine.
After the tasting we were served our pre-booked afternoon tea at a lovely table overlooking the vineyard.
The afternoon tea came with a lovely sparkling wine. But the quality of the afternoon tea, wow! All home made and one of the best afternoon teas we’ve had in a while. They even catered superbly for my dairy intolerance, with the chef coming out to explain and talk through the carefully prepared selection of sandwiches and cakes, pulled out all the stops, nothing was to much trouble.
A great experience in a lovely setting! Service and overall attention to detail was spot on!

Wine tasting tour was first class, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host spent time explaining how their wine was produced from vine to wine, bath in a classroom environment and in the vineyard itself. Wine tasting followed with tasting notes and a lesson on how to savour the wine. The best wine tour we have ever been on! The lovely food in the cafe was a bonus, fresh local produce and a chance to have more wine! The vineyard is in an old Roman fort so the history is also of great interest as are the items they have found on the site including an ancient well. The scenery surrounding the vineyard was lovely, and we had a lovely time. We would highly recommend it, but book early, and maybe add on an afternoon tea, they looked delicious!
