If I could rate this zero I would. We stopped in as a spontaneous adventure on the way to somewhere else, and in no way are we faint hearted or prude, but this ruined our day. We left feeling uncomfortable and shocked at what we had seen, very little was relevant to the jail itself! This place is not joking... More

I really liked this 'quirky museum'. It had a huge collection of very interesting items. Before you go in, there are about 20 signs saying do not enter if you are easily offended. So if you are and you do go in, then it's your own fault really IMO. The only bit I didn't enjoy was the ISIS be-heading pictures.... More

This place has everything. I've been wanting to visit for years and was not disappointed. We spent a good few hours looking at the billions of things on display. The creative way this place has been arranged blew my mind. Not at all suitable for children as advertised, which in my own oppionion gives it even more reason to go.... More

You will either love it or hate it. Look at the website before going rather than whinge after how offensive the memorabilia is. It does state not suitable for children, so pointless moaning that its not suitable if your research isnt done. Also states not for the squeamish, easily offended etc. My husband could of spent all weekend here. Half... More

We are not at all squeamish or or over sensitive and some of the exhibits are very interesting, but overall we were left wondering what sort of person would put together an exhibition like this. What kind of mind would want to collect it and present it for others? Not at all suitable for children - or many adults

Not everyone's sort of thing but you are aware of this before hand the mods and scooter quadrophenia desplay is awesome, but there's history in this horrible world that needs to be documented. And I'm glad that it's done in a way that you can observe it all. Just like Ripley's but a bit stronger. But history whether good or... More

Asked about wheelchair access, told yes. No sign to say where the parking was, concrete ramp to a stag statue but not to the entrance? There are plenty of signs saying about the strange and disturbing items displayed, but some of the display has no rhyme or reason.I got free admission but my carer paid. I could only manage 30-40%... We stumbled across this jail on our way to somewhere else, as I'm interested in crime etc I thought it would be worth a look. I was disappointed, no real history of the jail itself, just full of memorabilia with no attachment to the jail, just crimes that have happened elsewhere, some very graphic, they have a quadrophenia exhibition as... I Was disappointed with visiting this jail. Was hoping it would be all about the jail, what happened in the jail, who stayed at the jail etc. There was probably about 3 facts about the jail in the whole place. You walk in and it is cluttered with random memorabilia from a 2 bodied kitten in a jar to a... More
