It was funded by Mysore royal family who had sold their jewelry to fund this project so as to help the public. There is Brindavan garden with full of green lawn,... More

This is one of the best Dam that I have seen. The structure is well planned and a visitor can really get the magnitude of this huge place just looking down at the sluice gates and the thunderous roar of the water being let out. The reservoir is huge and stretches for miles. The gardens too, designed by Sir M... More

The dam is really a great structural marvel but we are just unsuccessful in saving water for ourselfs but losing it all.. The dam wears a dried up look which just restricts the beauty of the dam....

This dam is built by non other than Sir M.Visveraiah.It is is beautiful show of engineering applications. First they allow people to walk up the walls of the dam but now a days they don't allow.

KRS Dam and garden the famous one. I had a chance to visit this again after a gap of 25 years. Brought back the old memories. We are not allowed to go over the DAM. The Gardens are beautiful. People need to avoid plastics inside the park and help keep it clean.
