About
This serene cove on the northwestern tip of Maui is known as one of the most beautiful spots in Hawaii. Sunbathe on the soft white sand and snorkel in the warm, calm, crystal-clear waters. The area is teaming with marine life, and you can easily spot fish, eels, and sea turtles swimming amongst the coral. This small beach can get crowded—arrive early to get a good spot, or come later in the afternoon for a vibrant sunset. There are restrooms and showers by the parking lot, and the walk along Kapalua Coastal Trail is a great way to take in the view. – Tripadvisor

    Great snorkeling
This beach has a lot of sea life and you don’t have to go out very far to see it. There are a lot of rocks and coral closer to shore so be careful. The bay is very protected and there are hardly any waves. The only problem was that parking was filled very early in the morning so unless someone’s leaving, you won’t get a spot.

    Fantastic Snorkeling
Day 1 of vacay the man who rented us snorkel gear suggested this beach, and it did not disappoint. In our 6 days in Hawaii, we picked to come back to this one 3 more times. Yes it is a bit crowded by the snorkeling was supreme! Plus parking wasn't a total pain. We picked the lot across from beach parking (tennis, pickleball, golf lot) and paid for the day. A pittance for trying to find street or free parking. On our last day we rented a pedal paddle board and had a blast! The showers and bathroom at the top of the walk to the beach were an added plus.

    Perfect beach
Great beach. Well maintained with facilities (showers and bathrooms) though only two bathroom stalls and always a line. Good parking. There is free lot parking, street parking or pay across the street at the pickle ball courts. We were able to park in the lot at about 9:30 am. Short walk along a paved path to the beach. Soft sand, warm water with gentle wave action in a protected bay. Nice views out to the ocean. Lots of good snorkelling along both sides of the bay and easy entry. The only slight negative is there is very little shade so bring an umbrella. The Sea House restaurant next to the parking lot was great for a late lunch.

A Snorkel Wonderland, Especially If You Go "Tankless"
First note that I have a "Tankless Diving System"I bought on amazon.com which allows me to snorkel without surfacing for over three hours straight, which is a lot more fun than being mostly limited to the surface. I also have a "Scuba Diving Ventilator System" which along with a weight belt, allows me to adjust my depth in the water simply by how I breathe. The seafloor and corals go up and down, and with my equipment, I'm able to swim up and down with them. Be careful though. The current on the surface flows toward the beach, whereas on the seafloor, it takes you out to sea. Periodically monitor where you are if you go tankless.

    Kapalua Beach is Gret
The beach here is beautiful. Make sure to go to the Golf Course and walk out on the outcropping of rock where the waves crash into the rock. It is a bit of a hike but well worth it. The road beyond Kapalua is scenic but it does go to a higher elevation on a narrow road so if you are afraid of heights you may not want to go that route.

Good place to snorkel for those not super comfortable with it. Lots of interesting fish. This is a busy beach with very little parking. Full before 8:30 AM. Tip. If you are staying in Kapalua the free shuttle will take you right to the beach entrance & pick you up.

Kapalua Beach is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon. We came here to rent kayaks and do a little bit of swimming. It's a cover, so the water was quite calm making it a great experience. We enjoyed the beachfront trail as well.

A great place for novice snorkelers that offers a serene and accessible environment where individuals can comfortably explore underwater wonders without advanced skills or experience.

Recommend you bring your own snorkel a little shack there is $25 a day for a snorkel lots of fish in the water coral to look at we even saw a sea turtle. Overall the beaches fairly benign waves if you’re driving there be sure and grab the first parking spot you see even if it’s on the street because that’s the one problem is it’s very limited parking.

The beach is beautiful, with a great atmosphere perfect for spending time with my family. We enjoyed six hours on the beach and even spotted turtles. However, at a small shop, there were individuals, possibly from nearby hotels, charging a whopping 75 dollars for an umbrella and two chairs. There were no signs or displayed prices, so be cautious as these people might take advantage of unsuspecting tourists and engage in dishonest pricing for rentals. Despite this, I did meet some wonderful people in Hawaii, but it's important to stay alert to avoid potential rip-offs
