Nice clean beach

shared easily by locals and hotel guests of the Ritz. We saw whales off the beach and the sand is clean. Only bonus would be if Ritz allowed us to take chairs to the beach.

Our family read about this Beach and spent our 2nd last day in Maui there, we returned for our final day also. This beach is amazing, the sand, the water colour, the marine life while snorkelling. We highly recommend this Beach !!

Get here early, like 06:00 am or earlier, small parking lot that fills up fast. The beach itself is small as well so it gets very busy. Calm water and lots of fish to see while snorkelling. I took my fly rod in hopes of finding some bone fish. Had my boys go out with snorkels to see if they... More

During our first trip to Maui, we were impressed by the stunning view at Kapalua. Beach access is easy to spot in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by luxury mansions. A short ally will lead you to the beach. The beach is very quiet, water is very clear. You can find pieces of broken corral reeves everywhere. There's a well-built trail... More

This is a major go-to spot for us. It almost has it all: enjoyable and relatively well sheltered snorkelling, as long as you stay within the main bay and don't swim too far off to the right where there is sometimes a bit of a rip current; varied fish life, we've seen the big stuff like Spotted Eagle Rays, and... Kapalua Beach is one of the sandy crescents of sandy beach fronts the Kapalua Resort in west Maui. There is a parking area and shower at the trail entrance. Perhaps not as nice and not as large as D.T. Fleming Beach next door. Most beach goers appear to be from the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the condos of Kapalua Resort. Food... More

Rolling waves, reddish colored sand, and a beautiful setting. The beach is located in a cove between two rock hillsides. Somewhat quiet during the week, but definitely picks up on weekends as there is a public beach area adjacent

In terms of amount of fish and ease of use this was by far the best snorkeling my family did. Also, saw many turtles. Highly recommend this.

This is the best place to snorkel in Maui. Easy entry from a calm sandy beach. You don't have to swim out very far to see the coral, fish and sea turtles. Great for beginning snorkels. Will be back

One of our favorites on the island. Plenty of coral and structures for the fish to hang out. Sea turtles swimming across the bay. Good place to go snorkeling. Sandy beach doesn't go too far out into the bay before getting deeper and changing to volcanic rock and coral. Plan to wear your water shoes. This is a popular beach.... More
