Love this Feature

I think this is my favorite part of the Ritz! This commitment to ocean resources is something all hotels in Hawaii should have!

We loved the smaller boat with fewer people. We had great sightings and a whale swam right under the boat (not that this is under their control but - it still made the trip fabulous :) We had some scheduling issues due to a mistake by an employee but they did everything possible and went above and beyond to make... We came to Hawaii at this time of year to see the whales, and thanks to the Cousteau Center, we weren't disappointed. Our intrepid leader, Katherine, was very knowledgeable (she's a marine biologist) but also a great tour guide, answering all questions and solicitous to those who felt a little seasick. The boat was big enough so that it didn't... More

Booked through the Ritz, did whale watching with a certified marine biologist on a good sized boat with about 15 other people. Great informative tour.

The tour uses a 30 foot boat allowing for only 12 participants. We were guided by a naturalist and an experienced boat captain. They were able to put us in the middle of the whale activity. One pair came so close, I believe we could have touched them!

We drove from Whaler expecting a little more...something. The garden was very sparse and needed some care and the other items noted on the brochure were, less accessible or obvious. It is tucked in behind the Ritz Carleton, which make a nice Mai Tai but it was somewhat of a disappointment. Probably nice for those staying there and perhaps there... More

I went on the snorkeling tour with the amazing guide, Ali Rinaldi. I attempted to go by myself at Honalua bay and that was nowhere near the great experience we had at Kapalua beach with Ali. She makes sure you feel comfortable, offered a wet suit top - much appreciated. I had my own gear, but what is offered seemed... More

You have to go there to c what its all about. They have some great community work going where you can volunteer. You learn while you are there. It wasn't a must do for me, but if you are staying at the Ritz, definitely worth a stop

Tour of organic garden is a must, the Ritz's organic garden is behind the Cousteau center. The Cousteau Center itself offers great programs for marine life preservation, especially for kids.

Great options for all ages (not just children). We liked the paddle boarding, snorkeling for our teens. Highly recommend for younger children while adults enjoy some private time!
