Overview
More
Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

The Plantation Course is even better than seen on TV. I have not played a similar course in Hawaii except the Prince Course on Kauai (which is closed). The course has many very unusual holes. There are great ocean views but none of the holes...More

This restaurant has great advantage..the views of the Pacific and Molakai are what dreams are made of.. Beyond that, service and food preparation, below average.. Go for the view, be disappointed on the food and service..too bad..

I have played several pro courses in the past. I would put this course right at the top with Pebble Beach. The conditions are amazing and the views were awesome. The staff took good care of me and helped me through the experience to make...More

Just as a level set, I’ve played a lot of the world’s great courses: Pebble Beach, St Andrews (Old Course and Jubilee), TPC Tampa, TPC Scottsdale, and Links at Crowbush (PEI, Canada). That said, this is an amazing golf course. Challenging without being impossible; although...More

While staying at the Ritz Carlton, I talked my wife into letting me play this course. The green fees are $300 and another $60 to rent clubs. I’ve never paid that much to play golf but I will probably never come back, soooooo. Everyone greeted...More

The Plantation Course is generally one of our favorite parts of our Maui trip. The layout is great, although there are several blind shots and the views are unparalleled. However, I would not recommend playing this year. The greens are going to be dug up...More

You get to play where the pros play. Some spectacular views of the ocean from 80% of the holes. Winds make holes tough but interesting Hard to pick a signature hole as so many are great
