Take a step back in time at the Gwili Steam Railway, a delightful preserved railway just outside Carmarthen in West Wales. Running steam train services every day of local school holidays and selected days throughout the remainder of the year, this is the perfect trip for all ages to enjoy. Experience a typical country branch line from the 1950s with a stop off at Llwyfan Cerrig Station in a beautiful spot alongside the River Gwili.

My fiancé loves steam trains so we've been quite a few times as you can imagine. The last special day we went on was the valentines day afternoon tea, it was gorgeous. A real old-fashioned afternoon tea with real China cups and saucers and beautiful...More

We took a trip on the Easter Special as a family. There was no steam train in sight! The journey itself was 3 miles with no view and very disappointing. Overall a very expensive waste of money.

Initially we were disappointed as the steam train wasn’t running and someone had derailed the miniature railway so the children were sad. Scott the manager and his volunteer staff were fantastic and turned around what was otherwise a flop. They served us tea and gave...More
