This Museum was so much better and more interesting than I was expecting it to be! Please go and visit if you are in the nearby area,it really is worth it! (Do check timetable/web for opening times.) Who would have thought tin plate was so interesting! The volunteers were SO very helpful and full of knowledge about the site.10/10 There... More

Nearly missed this lovely glimpse into a grim past (if it wasn't for a road closure the day before). The museum contains much of the old machinery for making tin plated steel (what the majority of our food cans are made of) but the really interesting thing for me was the history and what a massive part the welsh valleys... The museum is worth searching out. I didn't know anything about tin processing. The exhibits were informative. But watching the video of people from the factory floor made an impression on my two godsons. The grounds are great on a sunny day. Well done to the volunteers

We were driving along and came across a sign to the museum and were intrigued. The sign on the road is easy to miss as it is hidden in a hedge. We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. Although it has been open for a few years it is still a work in progress. Lots to see... More

I went into this museum for some reason with low expectations.. Industrial museum.. I thought.. This is no doubt going to be boring. HOWEVER, I was so very wrong to think so! This is one of the most interesting museums I've been to in Wales, it's free entry, and if you read all the information it is amazing what these... More

An interesting industrial museum with lots of bits and bobs to look at from the industrial past - its hard to understand how hard it was working in industry years ago and they do an excellent job in explaining it. Well worth a look

I didn't realise quite how many women were employed in the tin plate industry, and across South Wales. Very informative and as much of it is indoors you can visit in any weather. Well worth popping in,

We were in the little town of Kidwelly and decided to have a look at this museum expecting it to be small by the entrance that we arrived at. However it was quite the opposite, full of artefacts, photos and mechanical relics; really bringing to light industry of times gone past. A really informative place with some nice open areas... This museum is out of the way but what a find! They have so much of interest there. We need to go back for another visit. Highly recommended for anyone interested in historical things. A real eye opener. Did not realise how big the tin plate industry was here.

On arrival this museum doesn't look as if it's going to have much of interest, but once you start walking round, it's excellent! So informative, spent a good couple of hours there, and it's free! Learnt lots about the tin plate industry, brick making and coal mining. The young guy that was there in the reception was so helpful, refreshments... More
