Came across this tourist information office tucked away under the castle walls. They lady at the desk was sooooo pleasant. Welcomed you in, so accommodating and very helpful. This is attached to the old jail, visit was very informative and there was an interactive screen which ran for about 6 minutes. Pity all information offices aren't this helpful and friendly.

How nice for this tourist information center to be accommodating to our travel schedule. Even though they weren't officially open the morning we visited, staff was there and let us in a few minutes early before we caught our train. And it was the only place in the city that had a souvenir thimble for sale. Our ancestors lived in... More

Cunningly concealed between the castle walls (adjacent to Notts Square) and County Hall, this quaint TIC is small but well packed with tourist information - some free. some for sale. Maximise your trip to Carmarthen with one of the tourist maps or tourist trails around town, your chance to uncover its hidden secrets.

People, if your goal is to promote Carmarthenshire you need to shout your whereabouts from the hilltops, have neon arrows highlighting your whereabouts, and you need staff who can tell... More

Nearly 70 years since I lived here and went to school. Found memories visiting old haunts and walking the streets of ancient Carmarthen.

Never having been to Carmarthen before we sought the help of the Tourist office - staffed by Merlin. She provided maps - including a couple of walks, Names of places for Coffee etc. And a reminder of good behaviour. A time in the cells!
