Is this the most beautiful place on earth? Stourhead is high on my list, anyway. Classical revival architecture, nicely aged, lakes and wildfowl, flowers of many colors, trees of varied types to provide enchanting shifts of texture, it's a glorious place to walk about, or...More

It is a lovely walk with beautiful flowers and all the trees are marked so that you can read about each tree. The lake is amazing and the wildlife plentiful.

My wife and I took two friends to visit this lovely place. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The house is very interesting and the staff were very informative. Walk all the way around the lake and take in the beautiful scenery.

We only went round the house; long walks aren't so easy for us nowadays. £16 a head plus £4 to park. They make you park a long, long way from the house, and it's quite a climb; no seats half way to rest, either. The...More
