Booked for my birthday by my husband. What a lovely treat, the room was huge, well decorated and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well designed and had a lovely deep bath and power shower.

Husband booked via secret escapes for out wedding anniversary. Lovely little hotel, log fires, Christmas trees and a huge afternoon tea. Everyone was friendly and accommodating to us and our dog. It's a real treat to find a hotel that is truly dog friendly. So...More

Be careful to book your wedding here- lovely place but management seriously lacking! The toilets were dirty, ran out of toilet roll & hand towels. Lack of organisation (even with meetings) did not take brides requests into consideration. Hot Buffet evening food came out and...More

Second visit to Bishopstow and a reminder what a great hotel this is. Stayed in the old stable block (room 19) with a downstairs lounge and upstairs bedroom/bathroom - ask for it, you won’t be disappointed. Excellent staff and food.

Stayed two nights with free on site parking between Thursday - Saturday. 2.5 hour drive including traffic from 2 different motorways to get there however, easy to find using sat-nav (windy country roads without street lighting so take extra care when travelling during the dark)....More

We stayed here for our 1st year anniversary from Secret Escapes of which we got an amazing deal. I am quite a snob when it comes to hotels and I would disagree with most of the reviews, although we paid extra for a nicer room...More

We booked in for a spa day and lunch . Very relaxing although the indoor pool was out of commission. The house is beautiful but is in need of some TLC. Very welcoming and comfortable. The food was exceptional. Highly recommend a lunch time visit.
