My wife and I enjoyed a day with Peak Rail on Wednesday 20/02/2019. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the stations and trains and also the upkeep of them both. We were hauled one way by a steam engine and the return by...More

This was our first visit to the railway. We were impressed by the friendliness of everyone here. We could explore the shed area freely and met some of the volunteers working on the restorations who were more than happy to show us around their projects....More

I must admit that I was rather dubious about this trip as such things can easily turn into overpriced, tacky experiences. However, this was none of the above, We travelled from Rowsley to Matlock and back,it took about one hour as the train made a number...More

We had a nice time. We boarded the train at Rowsley, and travelled to Matlock. Walked round the town then returned. Stand very friendly, and the trains were very comfortable. This is the first time that we have visited, and we will definitely return.

We had a lovely tea in the steam train run by peak rail from Rowsley to Matlock and back again. If you’re booking it’s worth paying for the LMS main carriage rather than the kitchen car as it gives more of a flavour of the...More
