On a glorious sunny day, there can be no where better than spending the day here, though wet weather would be an entirely different story. Lovely grounds to wonder about it, lots of seating areas, plenty of things to entertain the children, reasonable priced restaurants. A tour of the house is both interesting and entertaining , great to hear the... More

What can I say! Excellent. We visited the cafe with my 3 children and my mum during Easter holidays. My little boy (7 months)decided it was perfect time to kick off. The staff were so helpful, offered to help get sorted quickly, get glasses, cutlery and carrying the tray to the table. Nothing was to much. The food was amazing as... More

Whenever I visit Newby Hall I am sure to see something new. At present the magnolia trees are in full bloom and though some of the daffodils were past their best others were at their best. I was very impressed with the mosaics which are being constructed in the covered seating buildings close to the railway and the boat landing... More

Had a thoroughly enjoyable day today with a 3 and 7 yr old. Lots to do to keep us entertained - swing boats, sand pit, several play ground areas, zip line, pedal boats, steam train, dolls house exhibition, teddy bear house and super cafe and picnic area. We are already looking forward to coming back again to play in the... More

Second time we've visited. Both times used a half price voucher from Stray FM. Think it would be over priced if you were paying full price. Lovely walks, miniature steam train, play grounds, boat rides and much more! You can happily spend a day here! Worth bringing a change of clothes as there are some water fountains the kids can... Beautiful gardens with miniature railway. You can either visit the gardens or the house and gardens. As to be expected the staff are extremely helpful and informative. Well worth a visit.

Gardens are beautiful. Good for kids with train and playground. Excellent tour by Liz around the house. Tasty granola bars in the cafe.

A superb day out with lots to see and do. The house is lovely, the gardens we've been at different times of the year and provide lots to see, the borders down to the river when in bloom are superb. The play area for children is popular.

Bought a half price family ticket for this place from one of the local radio stations. Took our 3 daughters, 11 years, 5 years and baby. We had a thoroughly lovely day out. We had our picnic before we actually entered in a well seated picnic area. The gardens are beautiful, my husband really enjoyed this and we got some... More
