We are a small business, principally running a commercial sheep farm. We also have a passion for nature, the countryside and conservation. We embrace both business & tourism in an effort to make your experience of Ireland a memorable one. Agri-Tourism, Eco-Tourism, we warmly welcome you here. We are a private park, we maintain everything at our own expense which is why we make a small charge on entry. There is much of Kerry that is inaccessible, our park offers access through well maintained paths together with facilities as you may expect at any attraction. Washrooms, wheelchair access and much more. All of this takes funds to maintain and to enhance your experience here on Beara.

This is a truly beautiful spot. We got great advice from our host about choosing the right trail for us. The views are magnificent. Rita provided a warm welcome and delicious apple tart. This is the essence of Irish hospitality with our host even driving us back to our car after our walk. A place to return to again and... More

Patiently make your way through the rugged one way road to Gleninchaquin Park you will be thankful you made the drive to this slice of hiking heaven. Select the trail that matches your level of ability and you will not be disappointed, spend an hour or most of the day to soak in the sheep and scenery.

This place is one of my favorite spots in all of Ireland! I go back every chance I can. The owners are indeed odd, trying to get as much money as they can from each carload that enters their property. To be honest, the first time we were so turned off by their demand for money that we turned around... More

My wife and i started second-guessing our decision halfway down the narrow 8km access road (we actually collided mirrors with a van headed the opposite direction) and then again when we could not find anyone at the house when we made it there, but after we did track the owner down and paid we were blown away by the natural... Loved the serene beauty of the area. Our family enjoyed the park. My husband and I went on one hiking trail, while the children did another that brought them closer to the waterfall. It was a hidden gem.

As a regular visitor to Kerry I was surprised to hear about this place on trip advisor as I had never heard of it before. The long drive down the narrow road is fine, just take your time and assume a car will be approaching any minute, there are plenty of places to pass and I had no problems passing... More

To us it was our pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We had been told it was a "little out of the way". Fifteen minutes off the main road in fantastically beautiful countryside, where else would you find such a treasure? This gem would be worth it if it was located hours off the main road. We... More

I visited Gelninchaquin Park a few days after they closed for the season. With that, I planned ahead of time, contacting the owner through their website to schedule my visit. Communication was easy peasy and they were so very warm and welcoming. Because I pretty well had the entire park to myself (apart from the sheep), this is one experience... More

Hi from a chilly Gleninchaquin, however. I am warmed to read of your appreciation. Our park aims to make visitors welcome and although we have to close our gates we are always open to greet visitors such as yourselves who call ahead. I am sorry I was not there on the day to meet you. We have a nice group... More

This commercial operation is a "sideline" of the sheep farm with which it shares the land. A challenge to get to (about 6 miles off the "main road", on a single lane track) it is worth the effort. Lovely hills, lakes, hiking trails, and the centerpiece waterfall await.
