Infectious lambs
May 2021 • Friends
!! Do not touch the baby lambs!!! Two of us got bitten by the lambs and both bites developed a severe infection! Both wounds had to be cut open and stitched combined with an antibiotics intake because of the infection. We sent Aedan an email, explaining what happend, only to inform him that the bites can get inflamed and that he should provide a sign for that on his farm to inform other visitors, especially parents of little children. But his answer was only condescending and patronising, implying it was our own fault. Therefore we now decided to use this platform to warn other visitors.

Brilliant

The beehives are a fascinating part of Irelands history and worthwhile seeing for a few euro.
However, trying to make money out of lamb petting, etc is a joke. Ireland lost too many tourists returning because of the greedy few.
On the same route enjoy a stop at The Stonehouse.

BeeHive huts Irish history
Nov 2019
Driving to the huts is a mini tour in itself of the beautiful peninsula. The huts are an amazing feat of engineering and you can take as much time as you want and be hands on with the stones to explore these amazing ruins.

Quick stop.

Nice to see a bit of history. Worth the stop but only if you are on the road. There are a few stops on the road of the same stone huts.

Rude staff member
Jul 2020 • Couples
Drove all the way to see this, only to be told by the rude girl in the hut, that we couldn't pay by card. Behind the times, especially during covid19!
Waste of time.

Not what I expected...better.
Mar 2020
Reading about the bee hive huts made me excited to learn more about the way people lived in Ireland before modern life. I read about Fahan Beehives and expected the worst. ACTUALLY, I was surprised. My family went to see this on a cold, rainy March morning. We entered the huts and got a feel for what could have been. Sheep were grazing, rain was falling, a stiff breeze was blowing and the beehive was warm and dry. We enjoyed the visit. The scenery was peaceful, We did not get any sheep dog shows and did not share the site with many people. It was great for an introverted family.

Gotta stop and take a look
Feb 2020
We did the Slea Head Drive and this is on the way out to the point. Worth the stop for 15 or 20 minutes to see a rich piece of history. A few Euros to get in and a short steep walk up the hillside to see. Awesome spot to take pictures not only of the Beehives themselves, but also the coast line of the Dingle Peninsula. Dont drive by. Stop. Take a look.

Quite fascinating
Feb 2020
This was an interesting attraction to visit, admission is quite reasonable. The structures really make you wonder how it was possible to create these structures without machinery or sophisticated tools and have them stand so long. As per many oddities that dot the world it is bewildering. On the day of my visit it was a ridiculously blustery day with a storm blowing dale force winds. If you get the opportunity to go , do it. Life is too short not to avail yourself of the wonders that surround us.
