The monument commemorates Sir Francis Arthur Knox-Gore (died 1873), so must date to around 1875-1880. A beautiful peaceful place to walk. Suitable for children and less able-bodied, as most paths are accessible. Allow 1 - 2 hours to explore.

Worth a visit if you are in belleek woods. It's part of belleek woods walk and on the castle gardens.
