Some nice autumnal walks along the beach. Seems very clean, no issues with litter. Beach is sandy, be careful not get get isolated on the remoter parts of the beach when the tide comes in, easy to do. As it was November needless to say you need to wrap up warm from the wind. But great for blowing the cobwebs... More

I arrived in Malahide not really knowing what to expect as far a the coastline goes...what a truly fabulous village, beach and coastline. There is a lovely marina to walk along which continues along the coastline to the blue flag beach. The estuary is full of little boats and wildlife and it is well worth the visit. It is a... More

The walk from malahide to Portmarnock beach is a very leisurely 4km walk. Beautiful coastline and a couple of places to stop for coffee on the way.

We took a short side trip to the beach. There were lifeguards on site, plenty of parking and it seemed safe enough, we had no issues. Perfect for dipping your toes into the sea! xx

If you want a peaceful beach on a lovely day - with no horrible shops selling rubbish (buckets and spade shops i call them) then this is a place to come - no cafes / bars etc just beach and views

Not a huge beach and you need to watch the tide which comes in quickly. However, this is a very pleasant beach and not too busy even on a nice summer's day. My daughter loves it as perfect for a paddle and some nice sand. Plenty of shellfish to find too.

It was a nice walk along the beach, but I didn't consider the views to be spectacular. Definitely a nice little spot to get away from the business of the city, however.

My son and I wandered along the beach and with the sea flat calm took the opportunity for some stone skimming. The beach is about a five minute stroll along from the main centre of the town past the tennis club and a nice place for a wander after a meal in town.
