Rocky Road

We stopped here for a coffee and a snack. The staff were friendly and welcome visitors not only golfers. We shared a piece of rocky road with caramel sauce. Great snack!

This is a great place to play a round of golf. the views are spectacular. Price is reasonable including club rental although the clubs are definitely vintage. My putter was missing its face. A word of caution - the par fours are really long - many over 400 yards.

What an amazing course. You can see the Atlantic from practically every hole on the course. Classic links course with high rough and great scenery with livestock and stone walls outside the course.

Played this today in the wind and rain. Had good craic with the pro shop assistant. RE golf it was the hardest round of golf I think I have played due mainly to the wind ! Some unforgettable views and tee shots not to mention LONG par 3 and 5s. Brilliantly ant course and thanks.

We played this course for the first time on a breezy day with on-and-off light showers. Much more open than other links courses we have played, with many elevated greens requiring a good short game, and elevated tees providing panoramic views. Reasonably well marked, so navigation to next tees was not too difficult, although we did get lost a couple... More

Wonderful challenge on one of Ireland's underrated links courses. The course is testing in the best of weather and the influence of the Atlantic breezes make it even more challenging. Laid as nature would have intended and without any man made additions such as needless water traps.

Beside the beauty of Connemara as a background this Course is worth a visit. Though not spectecular like some other Links in Ireland it is a true one, the turf is sort of spongy and not so hard as some other fairways, which makes it very nice to walk on. Fast and true greens, Come and play!

I loved playing this links course. It has 3 separate 9 holes courses each with their own unique charms. It has great views of the water and the course was in excellent shape. The pace of play was good since I went during the week and the staff were courteous and helpful. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars... More

Had the chance to play 9 holes as a visitor - 39 euro including club hire. Did the back 9 holes and managed to lose 6 balls!!!! Found 5 though! Super outlook even though the day was a little misty. It lifted at times to take in spectacular scenery. Very friendly staff and a neat little restaurant with reasonably priced... More

We arrived in early May and basically had the course to ourselves. We decided to walk the 6800 yard course along the sea. I think with the elevated tees and greens we walk a good eight miles. A beautiful course (long) in a beautiful setting our in the middle of nowhere which added to its charm.
