We toured this jail with a guide who obviously is very passionate about history and the history of this jail in particular. She was entertaining and the tour included interesting stories about real people who had spent time in the jail. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully restored courthouse and jail nestled in the small village of Tarbert. Well worth a visit if you're passing through.

Stopped by here on purpose to see it but we didn't have any cash - they wouldn't take any debit or credit cards... The lady at the desk didn't apologise about this or offer any suggestions. Couldn't find a bank machine in the town so...More

if you are not racing for your ferry, this is a great historical diversion, which you can spend 30 mins at.
