Great viewpoint with a very peaceful atmosphere. In contrast to other sights in Kerry without any admission.

An amazing stone fort built of dry stone. It makes one think about the history of this remote part of Ireland.

It is a bit difficult to locate, but it is worth the effort it takes to find it. We had to ask for directions at the Cahersiveen tourist office located at the corner of the bridge. Cross the river at the bridge, drive about 1+...More

A little out of the way off the ring of Kerry but worth it for the views. The ivy covered ruins are picture perfect and with a little bit of climbing you can make your way to the second level and to the nice views...More

A ruin which was worth a look at from afar as you can't go near it as it had vegetation growing down it's walls which made an interesting photo

We took a small detour after seeing this castle from Valentia Island. The children enjoyed climbing to the top window. It is in a lovely setting.

This is a very very nice castle with the beautiful moss growing almost all over it. Getting there seems like private property or just small roads but totally free to enjoy the views of this awesome small castle and views from the top windows.

I had an awesome time at these ruins. When you arrive at this castle, don't worry - it's not private property. You need to go drive back roads, slide through the stile and walk across a field to approach the ruins. It's like an adult...More
