The Quiet Man Bridge was worth the time to stop , take photos and enjoy the scenery. Just watch for the sign to the small community of LEAM on R59. Take that road and you will see the one lane bridge ahead . There is...More

It was hard to find and we drove past it a few times before we saw the entrance. It's not too far off the main rode and once you know where it is we were shocked we past it! When we went to visit it...More

The sign taking you to the Quiet Man bridge was down when we went, so you have to look for the "Connemara Cottages" sign on the left about 5 miles/8 km's north of Oughterard on R59, as you pass over the bridge on the way...More

It is a very pretty stone bridge in a remote area that is great for a photo, but there isn't anything else there.

We stayed near the Quiet Man Bridge so it was fun crossing the bridge and seeing it in the old classic movie. This area of Ireland was and is special and the bridge contributes to the entire experience. Go spend time in Western Ireland.

Of course if you are a fan of the movie, you will want to see and walk across it. It's a vey tranquil place with scenery that is all Irish. Best if there are few there to spoil the pics, but still an easy stop.

At one end of the town - you might drive across it before you realize what it is. You can park at the church and hop out for a few snaps before driving into the village. Watch for traffic - as this bridge is still...More
