I really enjoyed Waterville Golf Links. The course is well thought out and you don't need a caddie to find your way around. The greens were in good shape, the fairways were a bit on the rugged side but certainly playable. They even have golf...More

This was the first experience of golfing a true links course. The golf course and the surroundings of this golf course was indescribable. Will be back!!

It's not clear why this course is so highly ranked and rated. Most of the course sits in a low lying area to the interior of the actual linksland (rolling dunes) so there are very few water views. The fairways do not drain well so...More

As a 14 HC, I am not a great golfer, but I do appreciate a good course. This course, I feel, deserves its lofty ranking, as while I felt it was not an easy course, it was fair. Additionally, it held no gimmicks, but was...More

The course is quite famous and was rated in the top 100 in the world on various lists in the past 10 years, that's why we made the long trek from Killarney. Driving there was the most difficult of our trip throughout the republic. Staff...More

Views on this course can be amazing. It's not a manicured course like many in North America but it fits the land well. It's not as challenging as Tralee but many of the holes are great layouts especially on the back nine. Highly recommended.

My son played six rounds during the golf camp. I was able to walk the course and watch. Absolutely a stunning course, beautifully manicured, challenging with the fescue. Weather changes throughout round with wind and mist/rain. The weather contributes to the adventure. Staff super nice...More

Waterville is a little out of the way, but most of the coastal courses in Ireland are that way. While we caught it on a cool, misty day in late June 16, we could not have had a better time. Our caddy was spot on...More

Hi, We are thinking of playing Waterville next month. It will be our first time at the Course. Would we need a caddy? We are medium handicappers. Thanks for the tips.

If you take a caddie, it will certainly enhance your experience but It would not really be a necessity from my own experience. If it is the first course you will be playing on your trip, then go for it, they will help you... More
