Beautiful walk way through the mountains of the Beara peninsula. It's a very long walk, we only covered a short distance starting from Glengarriff. It's steep at times and rocky so you should be well prepared with the right set of shoes. Once you reached...More

Beautiful landscape, amazing views. Enjoyed our drive on the ring of beara. It's less crowded than the ring of Kerry. You should at least take half a drive the drive the ring of beara.

What a beautiful drive (if a little scary for someone who is afraid of heights )the scenery is magnificent ,rugged ,wild with narrow roads. The tunnell you have to drive through is short but cool as arethe two other more open tunnell's.

I can honestly say that it is the most beautiful part of Ireland. Everywhere you look there is always something breath taking to see. Even the most remote places are populated and has it's own charm. Dursey island and Garinish spots are the most beautiful....More

If you actually want one of the most scenic routes in Ireland you should make a nice road trip to the beara way along the coast of Ireland, as well as the Ring of Kerry.

Beautiful part of the world. Some of the roads are on the narrow side but this adds to the experience. Check out the cable car to Dursey Island and go over Healy Pass for amazing views.

I walked the wonderful dingle way last year and now I can hardly decide between walking the Beara or the Kerry way this summer. Is there anybody how has walked the Kerry way in August? Is it really crowded or is it just the Ring of Kerry along the roads which is very crowded? Concerning the Beara way: Does anybody know if we should book the B&Bs along the Beara way in advance or just spontaneously? If we wouldn't like to walk the whole way, which part(s) would you skip and where would you start or finish? Thank you very much! Brigitte
