Something unexpected in Ireland you expect lush fields with cows and lambs

What a beautiful forest completely unexpected, a real jewel of the Beara way. Stop by and make a picnic for lunch etc

Just outside Glengariff on the road to Kenmare. Several walks are well laid out and you can pick up on some routes around the Beara Way here. We went up to Lady Bantry's Lookout - a bit of an uphill walk but not too long and well worth it for lovely views of Bantry Bay from the top.

Living in Munich city, Glengarriff woods is a little bit of heaven on earth...enjoy the fresh air and the view. Have a pint in the village afterwards!

Such a great spot, I took a stroll here with the dog during the week. So calm and full of nature. The trails are clean and clear and the sign posts are plentiful without over doing it. The water in the stream is so clear and my dog had a great time splashing about as its so accessible. Always have... More

Love this park, various walks/hikes of different grades and length something for everyone. A free timed 5k park run takes place on Saturday morning at 9.30, visited numerous times, highly recommend suitable for all the family however some of the trails are challenging.

We visited on a very nice and sunny day. The hikes were beautiful. There are waterfalls, rivers, and gorgeous views over the hills and bays. I strongly recommend. Some of the hikes are a bit challenging but there are stone steps and some railings too, so that makes it easier.
